We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit BlitzTime, or view the Blitz posting. We will store this information to allow you to obtain credit for the referral, and to track the success of our referral program. However, after the one-time email we will not send any other follow up emails based on your referral. Your friend may contact us at privacy@blitztime.com to request that we remove this information from our database.

Ad networks include third party ad servers, ad agencies, ad technology vendors and research firms. BlitzTime may “target” some ads to you based on the conversation into which you are entering: For example, if you are entering a blitz where the conversation is about astronomy then ads pertaining to astronomy products may be displayed on your browser or in your “break” time during your participation in the blitz. BlitzTime does NOT use personally identifiable information stored within your profile to target ads.

In addition, in the event we become the subject of a bankruptcy proceeding, whether voluntary or involuntary, we or our trustee in bankruptcy may sell, license or otherwise dispose of such information in a transaction approved by the bankruptcy court. You will be notified of sale of all or a substantial portion of our business to a third party via email or through a prominent notice posted on our site.

Whenever we provide you with an offer to use our partners’ services, it will be your choice to make use of the services or not. You will be given the opportunity to follow a link to the partner’s web site, where you may choose on your own to contract with that partner to obtain its services. We will not send your private information (such as recorded conversations) to the partner until and unless you make a specific request to release private information to the partner.

All retained data will continue to be subject to the terms of the BlitzTime Privacy Policy that you have previously agreed to.

Should you determine that closing your account is not enough to protect your privacy, you may request that we purge our systems of all record of your use of the BlitzTime service.
