This is a very important project that should be of concern to parents, teachers, corporate managers, and entrepreneurs.

This is part of Grassroots Business Network LLC's Youth Initiative.

Parents are concerned with the quality of education in NYC public schools, teachers feel hand-cuffed by being mandated to 'teach to the tests' (i.e. state exams), and corporate managers and entrepreneurs are constantly frustrated with the poor reading comprehension, writing, speaking, and soft skills (e.g. customer care, conflict resolution, critical thinking and analysis, etc.).

We all have to work together to make this work, and for our city and country to be able to deliver on its promise.

This event is to brainstorm ideas and to speak one-on-one with other people interested in helping to create a new model for the NYC public school system - a school that teaches academics, financial literacy, vocations, and entrepreneurship.
